Below are 10 photographs from an assignment I was given for the Indigenous Voices Program of Tribal Link. Tribal Link, an NGO with consultative status with the United Nations, sent me as well as two others on a passage made by truck from South Africa to the Democratic Republic of Congo. Over the span of a month and a half, we covered much of Southern, Central and Eastern Africa and visited indigenous communities along the way, namely the Himba in Botswana, the San of Botswana and Namibia and the Pygmy of the DRC. The goal of the trip was to learn more about these communities, particularly with regard to educational and entrepreneurial initiatives.
