I just came off a five day backpacking trip with students from the sophomore class at Dunn. We hiked a 25 mile loop through some beautiful terrain, all in our back yard. A great time was had with some great people. Below are some of the sights that we came upon.

Day 1: Group photo as we begin our trip

One of the faculty instructors, Christy, on trail with the rest of the group.

The group in the lower left corner, under the tree, toward the end of day 1. I believe Zach, our trip leader, is giving a talk on how to poop in the woods.

Day 2: Hiking by some of the beautiful wildflowers we encountered along our way.

Once we gained the ridge near Hurricane Deck we had some impressive views.

Day 3: Waking up at White Ledge campground.

Day 4: Zach with the remains of a snake found along the trail.

The entire sophomore class gathered at Nira Camp for a debrief and burrito blowout.

Day 5: Team Hashtag after coming together over an eventful few days. The trip was all too brief and our special group dynamic will be missed.
